ATP World Ranking Leader Novak Djokovic (Serbia) successfully started at the first clay Masters of the season in Monte Carlo (Monaco).
In the 1/16 finals of the competition, the Serbian tennis player beat Ivana Gahova (ATP 198), which operates under a neutral flag. The match lasted 1 hour and 48 minutes.

In the first game, Djokovic was losing with a break (3:4 *), but he was able to return to the game and put the squeeze on his opponent.
In the 1/8 finals of the tournament in Monte Carlo, Novak will play with the winner of the Italian derby Luca Nardi – Lorenzo Musetti.
Note that during his career, Djokovic twice won the title at the Masters in Monaco. The last time he took the trophy on these courts was in 2015.
