Marvel’s Spider-Man apparently will be released from the PlayStation Plus Extra catalogue from 15 maggio 2023: Sony announced it, without too much fanfare, at the same time as the officialization of the April 2023 games for Extra and Premium level PS Plus subscribers.
Marvel’s Spider-Man has been part of the list of games available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium users since the launch of new subscriptiontherefore the news of its removal appears quite relevant, for a very specific reason.
In fact, it was thought that the first party productions Sony were intended to remain in the catalog on a permanent basisbut what is about to happen to the Insomniac tie-in shows that this is not the case and that even the exclusive PlayStations are destined to be excluded from the catalogue, although perhaps after a longer period of time.
“As part of our normal update operations, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Resident Evil and NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 are among the games that will leave the PlayStation Plus catalog in the month of May,” reads the bottom of the PlayStation Blog post, which specifies the date of May 15 as the last day to play these titles.
