The GSOR 1010 FB is the first announced British light wheeled tank. This car will receive a premium status and will be released before the upgraded branch. Despite the LT status, it has the advantages of medium tanks: good mobility and a comfortable gun. Unlike the French “wheels” there is no switching between high-speed and maneuvering modes.
The concept of the new branch is to transfer large-sized medium tanks to wheeled chassis with excellent mobility. For the sake of increasing speed, the hull of the vehicles was made as light as possible, so there is practically no armor.
ТТХ GSOR 1010 FB
The GSOR 1010 FB has a good 105 mm gun with one-shot damage 360 units and armor penetration 218 mm basic armor-piercing projectile and 252 mm special sub-caliber. Recharge time 12.2 seconds, so the average damage per minute is approximately 1770 units. Accuracy is 0,33 at 100 meters, and the convergence time is 2.1 seconds.
Margin of safety 1300 units, which is much more than that of the French “wheels”. Reservation is absent from the word at all – 18 mm in the frontal projection, and you shouldn’t really hope for “magic wheels”, since the body here is much larger than that of French classmates, so it’s less likely that someone will hit the wheels.
GSOR 1010 FB can accelerate up to 60 km/h, therefore, the maximum speed is significantly inferior to the wheeled French, and to other LTs. The specific power is 23.7 hp / t, so the tank accelerates quickly. Chassis turning speed is 30 deg/s, so the tank is a bit slow to turn, especially at high speed. But unlike the French, he has a viewing radius 390 meters.
Advantages and disadvantages
Although the tank has just entered the beta test stage, let’s try to summarize the performance characteristics of the GSOR 1010 FB, highlighting its strengths and weaknesses.
Advantages:
large one-time damage; high accuracy; good armor penetration; excellent viewing radius.
Flaws:
complete lack of reservation; long recharge; low maximum speed; poor maneuverability; large dimensions; mediocre disguise.
Conclusion
At first glance, the GSOR 1010 FB raises the question of why it is needed in the game at all:
it will not be able to fully fulfill the role of a LT on the battlefield due to poor mobility indicators, especially with its dimensions and low camouflage factor; as a CT he will still not be able to play due to the complete lack of armor and lack of DPM.
The gameplay of the tank is reminiscent of the German leKpz M 41 90 (and other variations of the M41A1 Walker Bulldog), which does a good job of shooting damage, but in terms of reconnaissance is inferior to all classmates.
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, let’s wait until the full release and see what the developers will try to intrigue the players to download a new branch and donate to GSOR 1010 FB. Write in the comments what you think about the new car and stay tuned for other news in the World of Tanks.
