The Premium Edition of Truck Driver for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 has been canceled in favor of a DLC.
Publisher and developer SOEDESCO today announced to gamers that work on the Premium Edition of Truck Driver for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 has ended.
The edition has been scrapped to allow further work on the Heading North DLC, after previously encountering some issues that caused a delay in all of the developer’s plans.
Excerpt from SOEDESCO’s communication:
“Since we started developing Truck Driver: Heading North, we’ve worked with several great development studios to bring this expansion to you guys. However, as some of you may know, there were some unforeseen “stumbling blocks” that resulted in the DLC being delayed and throwing back our plans for Truck Driver as a whole.”
“This, in turn, led us to the decision to scrap the Premium Edition for Truck Driver. We want to thank you for the incredible support and patience. New Truck Driver information is on its way, and please note this is not the end of Truck Driver.”
