Publisher Soedesco announced the cancellation of the development of the Premium Edition for the game Truck Driver. The cancellation of the project was explained by the strong employment of the team, which is now working on the expected DLC for the game – Truck Driver: Heading North.
Truck Driver was supposed to receive a Premium Edition in May of this year. This edition was supposed to be released on Xbox Series X | S and Playstation 5, it was supposed to improve the simulator to the next generation of consoles. However, plans for a Premium Edition were dropped:
Since we started developing Truck Driver: Heading North, we’ve been working with some great studios to bring you this add-on. However, as some of you may know, there were some unforeseen stumbling blocks that caused the DLC release to be delayed and set back our plans for Truck Driver altogether.
This, in turn, led us to the decision to drop the Premium Edition for Truck Driver. We want to thank you for your incredible support and patience. Information about the future of Truck Driver is on the way, and please note that this is not the end of Truck Driver.
DLC Truck Driver: Heading North does not currently have a release date.
