PS Plus Extra and Premium in April 2023: Sony has just unlocked the new additions of the current month in the PlayStation Store. Among them are several “Doom” games that can be played at no additional cost.
Starting today, PlayStation Plus members of the Extra tier and above can get the lines glowing again. Because the April games for the two higher levels are now available for download.
And the offer is quite impressive. Several highlights are included for Extra, including Doom Eternal, The Evil Within, and Kena: Bridge of Spirits. More “Doom” games are included in the premium category. There is also the “Dishonored: Definitive Edition”.
It seems a bit strange after the debates surrounding Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard that many of the newest games in the Extra and Premium libraries now belong to the Xbox division, since they were part of the Bethesda portfolio when the publisher of 2021 Microsoft was taken over.

The new additions can be used largely without restrictions after downloading. The only thing to note is that PS Plus Extra and Premium tier games may occasionally be unclaimed from libraries and subsequently become void, while Essential games will remain in players’ libraries once claimed manually within the monthly deadline were taken.

These games will be removed in May
We already reported which games were removed from the libraries in April beginning of the month. And the components of the clean-up work in May have already been determined. Accordingly, in the coming month 30+ games from PS Plus Extra and Premium libraries removed, including “Marvel’s Spider-Man”, games from the “Metro” series and “Resident Evil”.
However, more games will be added in May. The dates can be predicted as usual. It can be assumed that the Essential games will be announced on April 26, 2023 before they are released on May 2, 2023. Extra and Premium are expected to take their turn on May 10, 2023 for announcement and May 16, 2023 for unlocking.
