Resident Evil 4 Remake also conquered Shinji Mikami, father of the original game released in 2005. Mikami, a few days after the confirmation that he had started playing the latest effort of Capcomannounced on Twitter that he had completed the game and had a lot of fun completing it.
Shinji Mikami didn’t comment in detail on what he liked and what he didn’t, but he himself has always been in favor of seeing his masterpiece in a modern key. A few years ago, when there were still rumors about a Resident Evil 4 Remake, Mikami gave his blessing to the Capcom teameven giving some advice to make it more current.
Capcom has actually modernized the narrative of Resident Evil 4, but according to a Youtuber this would have made the Remake “soulless”, distorting it too much. Evidently the father of the game in question does not think so, and perhaps he could have put an end to this discussion. What do you think, Gametimers? Tell us in the comments as always.
We remember that Resident Evil 4 Remake è disponibile su PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X e PC. The latest patch of the game, 1.004, improved some issues that plagued both console versions of the game. PlayStation 5 has gained better image quality, while input lag has been drastically reduced on Xbox Series S and Series X, at the expense of a slightly lower resolution compared to Day One.
The game also features the return of Mercenaries mode, enhanced compared to the past thanks to new gameplay elements. Unfortunately Ada is missing in Mercenaries mode, but this could be further confirmation that we will see the ‘Woman in Red’ in the remake of Separate Ways.
The character of Ada has also been at the center of controversy related to its interpreter, Lily Gao. According to some players, in fact, the voice actress would not have done a good job. However, the criticisms have come to lead to toxicity, prompting the actress to hide all her images on Instagram. Other controversies have instead afflicted Capcom after the recent introduction of microtransactions. A move that the user did not welcome it.
