Stardew Valley: How to Complete the Alex Heart Event

Aroged, Jakarta – Alex from the Stardew Valley game is a kid who dreams of becoming a basketball player, but he needs help due to trauma & lack of trust in his heart (Heart).
While this event won’t have a major effect on the overall game play of Stardew Valley, increasing Alex’s friendship level will trigger the Heart event & have great rewards.

Alex in Stardew Valley is the grandson of George and Evelyn, through the Alex Heart event, players can help him try to become a basketball player & deal with the trauma of losing his mother.

Friendship Gift for Alex Stardew Valley
Starting a friendship with Alex, players can start by giving a gift to Alex, this may be hard to get because it involves cooking.
In the Love category, you have 2 choices that can be given to Alex, namely, Full Breakfast or Salmon Dinner. This will be rated 80 friendship points.
But if you have Universal Love, like the Golden Pumpkin, this can also be gifted to Alex.
Alex likes anything on the Universal Love list, but all of them are only worth 45 friendship points, which is pretty slow.
2 Hearts: Find Alex While Playing Gridball At The Beach

When Alex reaches 2 Hearts, go to the beach in the summer, Alex will be there playing Gridball.
Alex will greet you & throw the ball. After failing to catch it, he laughed and said it was a good try.
After that Alex will reveal that he wants to be the first professional basketball player from Stardew Valley and ask you what you think about his opportunities.
Your choice doesn’t affect your friendship level or the next events of Hearts.
4 Hearts: Learn about Alex’s Family Troubles in Stardew Valley
After reaching 4 Alex Hearts, enter town between 9am and 4pm, you will find Alex next to the dog kennel & he is talking to his dog Dusty.
Alex will ask you what you heard, then Alex will tell you about how he ended up living with his grandparents.
He’ll tell you his father was an alcoholic & his mother has passed away, the scene ends with Alex showing a trick Dusty can do to get a grilled steak.
In Stardew Valley Be Genuine When With Alex
When you’ve raised your friendship to 5 Hearts, you can enter Alex’s house and see him there staring at a bookshelf.
He was disappointed & said he had not read any of the books on the shelves, he was worried that he could not succeed in life without knowledge and felt worthless.
If you select the dialog ”That’s Crazy. You’re a genius!” will not affect friendship, selecting We all have our strengths and weaknesses” will give you 50 friendship points.
The dialogue options “Worthless?” will make you lose 50 points, Alex will ask you to dinner to discuss philosophy after choosing one of the 3 options.
When you reach 6 Hearts, enter his house while he’s there. He seems disheartened about his future & expresses doubts about becoming a pro basketball player.
Give a word of encouragement for him so he can come back to try harder.
8 Hearts: The Emotional Event Alex Reached
When you reach the 8 Hearts friendship level with Alex, it triggers an emotional event, how to visit the beach on a sunny summer day or the resort of Ginger Island while he’s there.
Sit next to him, you will find him crying and telling him that it is the anniversary of his mother’s death.
Alex Stardew Valley regrets that he could never thank his mother & will play his music box.
As the music box plays, there is a flashback of Alex’s mother holding him. Alex asks what do you think.
The scene ends with walking back to town, he will ask you to keep it a secret when Alex cries.
10 Hearts: Meet Alex In The Saloon

After giving Alex the flower bouquet, you will reach 10 Hearts which triggers the Heart event, Alex will send a letter asking you to meet him at the Saloon.
Enter the Saloon between 19.00 – 22.00, you will find Alex has booked a room for a date, depending on the character played male / female Alex’s dialogue will adjust.
But they have the same core, namely he who has feelings for you since the day he met you & doesn’t know how to express them.
In the next dialogue, you can choose to accept Alex’s feelings or reject them, this doesn’t affect friendship points.
Triggers the Final Event When Reaching 14 Hearts
Event 14 Alex Hearts is only triggered under certain conditions. Exit the farmhouse during weddings at 06.00 – 08.20 except on Sundays.
You must have 5000g to give him, Alex will ask you to fund a special project which can be seen on Sundays.
Step into the Saloon on a Sunday, meet Alex & the townspeople to watch basketball in the decorated back room.
Alex will realize that he probably won’t turn pro at gridball, but he’s happy that city folks can enjoy the sport as much as he does.
The Alex Heart event ends with the characters talking about their new tradition, and when it’s done you’ll get a big prize.
