The well-known mentor Myron Markevich is confident that the competitors will no longer overtake Shakhtar in the battle for the UPL title, and was also disappointed with the performance of Dnipro-1.
– In my opinion, a miracle will not happen. Everything goes to the fact that the awards of the highest standard will go to the Pitmen. And not because they are superior in class to their counterparts, just more stable and important that they do not lose points in fights with their neighbors in the standings, the value of which immediately grows.
– Are you hinting at the recent leader – Dnepr-1, which already lost to Dynamo and Zorya in the second part of the season?
– To be honest, I was unpleasantly surprised by how slowly the Dnipro team played with the Luhansk team. They forgot that jogging doesn’t win! Although the wards of Oleksandr Kucher had good chances to compete with Shakhtar, which does not give the impression of being invincible even on the all-Ukrainian arena. And in European competitions, Shakhtar is a team more like a Conference League participant.
– How can you explain that Dnipro-1 managed to squander its advantage over Shakhtar?
– It is possible that the Dnieper overestimated their strength, and there was no reserve of the fortress. In the end, among the Dnipro residents, except for Artem Dovbik, and single out no one … Therefore, only the maximum mood in each match, the desire to jump above your head could help out …
In general, I somehow caught myself thinking that the vast majority of domestic teams are the same in style, no creativity, no homework … Take, for example, the last round match between Rukh and Dynamo. It would seem that the people of Kiev, after two victories in a row, will make a lot of efforts to declassify one of the outsiders and intensify the struggle for a place on the podium. But Rukh looked more attractive in Lviv, and I can’t even imagine what the people of Kiev should do with such a game in European competitions if they manage to get through there.
