According to some fan-made image comparisons, the graphics Of Final Fantasy 16 would be improved in development, with the first material shown by Square Enix which would look worse than new.
For example the images posted by @LegionzGaming on Twitter, which make a comparative direct between the old and the new versions, they seem quite indicative in this sense. Let’s see them.
It should actually be noted that much of the improvement invisual impact it seems to be due to the different use of lights, with the models and textures remaining largely the same. Basically in the most recent images the different lighting makes the image more dramatic and deep, improving the glance and removing some small problems visible in the old images.
Take for example the images of Shiva, which appear much less flat in the new version thanks to the different positioning of the lights. Certainly there has been a revision work and the effects can be seen.
To discover the graphic wonders of the Square Enix title, all that remains is to wait for June 22, 2023, when Final Fantasy 16 will be available exclusively on PS5.
