Enabling Memory Context Restore can reduce boot time by 50% on MSI X670/B650 motherboards
Booting a computer with an AM5 socket processor with the EXPO/XMP option enabled takes a considerable amount of time. MSI has issued a press release stating that enabling the Restore Memory Context option will allow computers to boot faster.
Judging by the first tests, the load time has decreased from 43 seconds to 22 seconds. Used Kingston Fury Beast 2x16GB RAM kit with EXPO DDR5-6000 enabled. Time measured from pressing the power button on the computer to hitting the Windows 11 desktop.
However, it is recommended to have the latest BIOS on the motherboard, otherwise stable operation is not guaranteed when the memory context recovery function is enabled.
The memory was installed on an X670E Tomahawk WiFi motherboard, BIOS 131.
