Both special materials and design are used to achieve the thickness of 1cm, as well as ultra-thin OLED panel and thin circuit boards, and the motherboard is optimized to accommodate an ultra-thin fan. If the lid is 30% thinner than conventional models, then the lower part is 25%. A magnesium-aluminum alloy was used to reduce weight, and CNC machining of the body made it possible to create a rigid structure with low weight. The model has been tested for compliance with the US military security standard MIL-STD-810H. At the same time, the laptop is able to work in video mode for up to 14 hours, and the cooling system and performance have become even better compared to its predecessor model.
This is the most environmentally friendly Zenbook ever released, with a carbon footprint reduced by more than 50%, according to the company. At the same time, the design used not only ordinary recycled plastic, but also plastic caught from the ocean and other materials, during the creation of which the main emphasis was on environmental safety.
