Blizzard Entertainment has released a new video for Diablo IV. Watch the video to learn more about the infernal classes, customization options, and unique items.
In the latest video in the Inside the Game series, the team shared insights into one of the key pillars of Diablo IV’s design: “Playing Your Way.”
General Manager Rod Fergusson, Game Director Joe Shely, Lead Class Designer Adam Jackson, Lead Game Producer Melissa Corning shared the many ways you can customize your playstyle and customize your character visually.
Player freedom runs through every aspect of Diablo IV: from the character’s looks to the skills you use to craft your way through the open world. See the video below and the blog for more details.
Play in your own way
Players can choose from one of the following depending on their preferred playstyle five classes choose to begin their journey. The Barbar is a melee weapon specialist. The wizard Mows down enemies from afar with powerful elemental magic. The Hunter is agile and can switch between melee and ranged combat. The Druid can transform into powerful creatures and cast nature magic. The Necromancer sends the dead into battle for itself and casts blood or bone magic. The skill tree grants players access to various skills, passive traits, or upgrades as they level up to increase their power. They also switch skills skill points and then upgrade them with additional skill points. The Paragontafel is a long-term content system that allows players to expand their playstyle even further. Here, they spend Paragon Points on nodes to increase stats, modify skills, enable new skill bindings, or change the way their character build plays.
Legendary items are very powerful and rare items that players can find on their journey through Sanctuary. There are several categories of legendary items. A few of these can change or improve a skill. Many of the classic and very rare items from previous titles return as unique items return. These are similar to legendary items; however, their properties cannot be removed from pieces of gear to add to other gear. Players can use their gear at artisans in town to increase their item level or add sockets. The new character customization offers almost infinite possibilities for character creation. Players can choose from a variety of faces, hairstyles, skin tones, and paint jobs. Each class contains unique options that allow creating a character at will.
transmogrifications allow the visual modification of a piece of armor or a weapon to give that item a different design. As players travel through Sanctuary, they can collect more customization items to customize their character’s appearance.
