Paradox Interactive has announced a massive expansion Galactic Paragons for the sci-fi strategy Stellaris. Together with the paid DLC on May 9, players will be provided with a lot of new features that will be of interest to both avid strategists and beginners.
The official description of the addition’s innovations:
New council mechanic. Assign leaders to important positions and make plans as you see fit. Dozens of unique roles are vacant on the Council, depending on the models and types of government. As the empire develops, additional positions will appear! New dynamic leaders. Hire leaders, develop them and lead the empire to success! Help them evolve by choosing traits and classes, and watch their fate until they retire or die! Heroes of the galaxy. Attract real diamonds to your side: your empire needs unique leaders along with their own events and stories. And that’s not counting four legendary heroes with unique mechanics and intrigues! New traditions and principles: new Under One Authority origin that tells the story of a leader who founded an empire, 8 new leadership-focused civics from digital immortality to optimized council elections, 12 new veteran classes, hundreds of leader traits, 2 new tradition trees with new edicts and leader improvements, new ships, plots and art.
On the same day, along with the addition of Galactic Paragons, a free update will be released under the number 3.8 Gemini. It also includes a lot of new features, including many fixes and a beta version of two modes:
Co-op PvE allows players to unite as a single realm to fight against enemy empires. This gives players the perfect opportunity to teach their friends how to play Stellaris or share empire management responsibilities for a more casual gaming experience. Cooperative PvP allows groups of players to form opposing empires to fight against each other.
