J. Michael Straczynski is considered a legendary filmmaker and comic author. The 68-year-old American wrote screenplays for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, The Real Ghostbusters, Marvel’s Thor and World War Z, among others. He wrote stories for comic book publishers such as Marvel and Detective Comics (DC) and is considered as the creator of a very special series science fiction series.
In the early and mid-1990s, Star Wars fans were left pretty dry. New cinema films, let alone new series, were pie in the sky. Instead, dominated Star Trek die Science-Fiction. The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine kept the fans in suspense and thrilled them on TV week after week. But then came Babylon 5.
The new sci-fi series Creator J. Michael Straczynski wowed even the most die-hard Trekkies and ran for five seasons and 110 episodes from 1993 to 1998. There was also a Babylon 5 spin-off series and six made-for-TV movies. Apparently important news is imminent.

J. Michael Straczynski recently posted a revised lettering of the series via Twitter. Appropriately, he writes: “What is that? Why this chic, new variant of the Babylon 5 logo?” In the last year there was often talk of a planned reboot. However, J. Michael Straczynski goes on to say that the new variant of the logo “is not for reinterpretation” because it is currently “stuck on hold”.
