As announced, the next demo is now available for download. This time, all PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers with a penchant for quirky indie experiences can look forward to an hour-long preview of Cult of the Lamb, offering an in-depth look at the sinister title.
The release of the trial will coincide with the release of the Relics of the Old Faith update, which was released on April 24th, 2023 various improvements like additional characters, a photo mode or an overhauled combat system.
Build your own cult
“Cult of the Lamb” sees itself as a classic roguelite adventure that has been enriched with elements of development strategy and an unusual setting. You take control of a believing sheep and are faced with the task of building your own cult.
To achieve this goal, you have to master a total of four challenging dungeons, which are ruled by an animal god. In order to bring down the gods and inspire the believers for your cult, you draw on different skills and use your village to produce fresh food and related buffs, build shelters or take care of the needs of your residents.
There is also a church in your village. You visit them to perform sacred rituals. The rituals not only strengthen your faith, but you are also able to increase your status values, which is of particular importance in the dungeons and should not be underestimated.
