They will have to rely on sound signals.
The Forza Motorsport racing simulator will receive a set of features that allow blind players to participate in races. The features were co-created with Brandon Cole, accessibility feature consultant and blind gamer.
Cole has a lot of experience in adapting games to the abilities of blind players. In the past, for example, he helped Naughty Dog with special features for The Last of Us.
Forza Motorsport has been adapted for blind players with special audio signals. With their help, players will be able to navigate the track: for example, with the help of a signal, the game can inform that there is not a very sharp left turn ahead.
In addition, the sounds will let you know if the player is close to the exit from the track or if he is moving in the wrong direction. To navigate the track, blind and visually impaired players will have to memorize the meaning of all the sounds.
Forza Motorsport is coming to PC and Xbox Series.
