The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko spoke about the innovations that are expected in the near future for car buyers. The Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to simplify the relevant processes and, if possible, digitize them for online actions.
According to Igor Klymenko, already in June of this year, Ukrainians will be able to register a purchased car directly in the salon.
“A person comes to a car dealership, buys a car and receives a registration certificate and license plate there. That is, a citizen will not need to come to the service center,” the minister said.
In August, it will be possible to purchase rooms online. Also, according to Igor Klimenko, transit numbers will be canceled, which were issued a year about one and a half million.
“In August, we plan to introduce the online purchase of license plates. Each citizen will be able to check which signs are available, book online for 10 days and purchase at a convenient time,” said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The most interesting things are promised to us in September. From this month, the entire process of buying and selling a car will be digitized in Diyu.
“Already in September, together with the Ministry of Digital Development, we are planning to transfer the entire process of buying and selling cars into a digital version – into Diya. All you need is a seller-buyer and two smartphones with them. We are eliminating the mandatory technical expertise – people do not need to stand in lines, give possible bribes – technical expertise will remain only at the first registration of a car and if a car buyer wants to check the technical condition of the car,” the minister said.
Recall that this is not the first promise of the authorities to transfer the registration of a car to Diyu. Approximately a year ago, Prime Minister Denys Shmigal spoke about the facilitated customs clearance of cars. At the end of January 2023, the Ministry of Digital Development said that work on the relevant regulatory framework was ongoing, and also showed a calculator for calculating the cost of customs payments. But already in February, the Verkhovna Rada failed bills No. 7466 and 7468, which would have made it possible to clear a car at Die.
