Vince ZampellaExecutive Director EAin an interview shared information about what is happening in the studio Respawn and most EA generally. We touched on such important topics as franchises Titanfall and Battlefieldas well as the development of the April 28 Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order exceeded EA’s expectations in 2019. Respawn also has a first-person shooter and in-universe strategy game in development “Star Wars“. As for Jedi: Survivor, the game was highly appreciated by journalists, but there are problems with the technical part, for which the developers had to apologize. Zampella noted that it was important for the authors not only to make the second part of the story, but to improve the mechanics from Fallen Order.
Currently, work on the continuation of Titanfall is not being carried out, although Respawn would love to start it. The game director of the series leads a small team that is trying to come up with something new. As Vince says, games are interactive entertainment, which means that it is the game mechanics that should bring pleasure.
Zampella has been put in charge of the Battlefield series, which EA wants to rehabilitate after several failed releases. He is assisted in his work by his former boss. Call of Duty and an updated set of studios. Vince asks not to perceive the series as simply a competitor to COD and draws attention to the moments of team interaction between the players. While Zampella can’t say too much, he does have some interesting ideas for Battlefield’s development.
