The film took 13 days to achieve. This is the 20th domestic project that has crossed such a milestone, and the second for director Klim Shipenko after Kholop. This year, the box office record was set by Cheburashka, which earned more than 7 billion rubles.
“The Challenge” tells about the thoracic surgeon Zhenya (Yulia Peresild), who is sent to the ISS to perform an emergency heart operation on one of the astronauts. The film also starred Milos Bikovich, Vladimir Mashkov and Sergei Burunov. The budget amounted to 1.1 billion rubles.
