Returning from the huge open world of LEGO 2K Drive shown in the gameplay reveal, the guys from Visual Concepts reappear on the net to provide us with all the details on the contents of the first year of post-launch support: the Roadmap 2023 (and early 2024) of the new arcade racer from 2K Games will be really full of surprises.
The LEGO 2K Drive post-launch offering will ride on the double track of Drive Pass Free and Premium content. Starting with the release of Drive Pass Season 1 in June, each Season will offer new challenges and 100 levels to unlock for free. In each Season you will be able to earn a series of new free prizes, including new drivers, stickers, vehicle decorations, sounds and much more. Among the free additions of the Drive Pass there will also be a new open world map biome, expected to launch during the first year of support.
Parallel and complementary to the items unlockable with the Free Drive Pass there will then be the prizes to be obtained with the Drive Pass Premium, which can be purchased for each individual Season or as part of the Year 1 Drive Pass, a package that includes the Premium versions of Seasons 1-4 , The Awesome Pizza vehicle and 550 Tokens for use in the ingame Store, Unkie’s Emporium. Each Premium Season will give access to even bigger prizes, including new vehicles from famous car manufacturers such as Dodge (Season 1) or Nissan (Season 2).
2K Games is keen to point out that LEGO 2K Drive Drive Pass Seasons have no time limit, as a result you will be able to buy and play each available Season at your own pace. Purchasing the Drive Pass Premium automatically unlocks all rewards earned based on your current ‘seasonal’ level.
The commercialization of LEGO 2K Drive is scheduled for 19 maggio on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and in an optimized version on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. In case you missed it, here is our preview of LEGO 2K Drive, the open world full of madness and fun.
