We have already been able to go to movie theaters to enjoy it with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the closing of the trilogy of the most unexpected space group of all, although we have to wait to see it at home. The Adventures of Star-Lord, Drax, Rocket and company say goodbye for a long time, but before they have offered two post-credit scenes that anticipate great news.
ATTENTION SPOILERS: from this moment on the plot of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be discussed openly.
The end is more than clear, since Rocket is chosen as the leader of the group after the losses of Nebula, Drax, Star-Lord and Mantis. Therefore, the first post-credits scene places us on a remote planet with the new formation made up of the raccoon, an imposing Groot, Adam Warlock, Kraglin, Cosmo and a girl belonging to the group rescued from the High Evolutionary’s ship.
This group is talking about their favorite song until a horde of alien animals pounces on them, causing them to jump into action and making it clear that there is still rope for a while with the Guardians of the Galaxy, so it is likely that we will have more films in the saga. Undoubtedly, the presence of the young woman, who has the name Phyla and is a relevant character in the Marvel Comics universe, draws attention.
We are talking about Phyla-Vell, a character created by the publisher in the 2000s and who is presented as the daughter of Mar-Vell, the first Captain Marvel, who passed away. She is also the sister of Genis-Vell, Captain Marvel or Photon and possesses incredible cosmic powers, although it is still rash to point to the consequences of her in the rest of the MCU. In fact, that is one of the peculiarities of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3since it does not integrate with the great multiversal plot that we have seen with Kang.
More surprising is the second post-credit scene, which brings us back to Earth for a moment. Peter Quill steps away from the galaxy group to meet his grandfather for the first time in decades. After the meeting, we see the two of them in the kitchen of the house where he lives and make jokes about cereal and mowing the lawn. Despite the fact that everything indicated that Chris Pratt would abandon his role as Star-Lord, a message on the screen clarifies that “The legendary Star-Lord will returnWe don’t know how exactly or in which movies, but Disney doesn’t seem to want to give up one of its most distinguished faces in the MCU.
