Falcom’s Ys 9: Monstrum Nox is out on PS5 after its initial release on PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It features improved visuals with higher frame rates and resolutions and includes all previous cosmetic DLCs. You will receive costumes, goggles, masks, and the Haute Cuisine Weapon set.
In the sequel to Ys 8: Lacrimosa of Dana, Adol Kristin arrives in the prison city of Balduk. After being set up and escaping, he joins the Monstrums as the Crimson King, unleashing powerful abilities to fight the Lemurs. His goal is to lift the curse and defeat the Lemurs once and for all.
Ys 9: Monstrum Nox has the same combat as its predecessor, but the game has expanded opportunities for exploration – more extensive regions are open. Players can also use Monstrum’s gifts to grapple, slide, wall run, and more. Check out our official review for more details.
