Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, known for his sympathy for Russia and Putin, announced the launch of a new version of his show on Twitter. Unfortunately, the TV journalist is very popular – the announcement video has received more than 80 million views.

In his video, the ex-Fox host actually advertised on Twitter: “Surprisingly, today there are not many platforms where freedom of speech is allowed. Last big [ресурс]The only one left in the world is Twitter. … This is not a biased site. It’s allowed here [публиковаться] everyone. And we think it’s good.”
Elon Musk was quick to state that he did not enter into any agreements with Carlson, but welcomes people with different political views on the platform. Musk is now trying to convince journalists and other content creators to publish it exclusively on Twitter. In his message, Musk noted that any information that may be misleading will be flagged accordingly – and Carlson is no exception.
On this platform, unlike the one-way street of broadcast, people are able to interact, critique and refute whatever he or anyone may say.
And, of course, anything misleading will get @CommunityNotes.
I also want to be clear that we have not signed a deal of any kind…

“On this platform, unlike a one-way street, people can interact, criticize and rebut whatever he or anyone else has to say. I also want to make it clear that we have not signed any agreements. Tucker is subject to the same rules and rewards as all content creators. I hope that many others, especially those on the left, will also choose to become content creators on this platform.”
Carlson’s personal website proclaims: “Tucker is back.” On the main page, he is shown wearing a plaid shirt with a gun in his hand.
Tucker Carlson announced his readiness to refuse the money that the channel owes him in connection with the termination of the contract. The trick is that this will allow the presenter to avoid being banned from publishing until 2024 due to the non-competition agreement. Currently, the journalist’s lawyer is suing Fox News about the terms of termination of the contract. Settling the ban on competition would allow him to post on Twitter.
Elon Musk threatened to take away the Twitter account from the NPR media, insulting the journalist and allowed access to the API to public organizations
