Map service Google, as it became clear at the end of the conference for developers, are waiting for changes in accordance with the general vector of development of information technology. You won’t surprise anyone with 3D Street View maps, so Google will offer a new Immersive View mode for 15 cities around the world, which literally allows the user to explore a very route “from the inside”, taking into account weather conditions and traffic intensity for a given time of day.

According to Google representatives, Immersive View technology allows you to generate three-dimensional street maps based on Street View images and aerial photography data, and then overlay the necessary information on them. The user gets the opportunity to literally track the entire route interactively, if desired, adding weather conditions and traffic intensity for a specific time interval. It is as if a person first overcomes the intended route in virtual space in order to get a better idea of it before setting off. By tradition, the laying of the route is carried out both for drivers or cyclists, and for pedestrians.
In the coming months, the service will be launched in Amsterdam, Berlin, Dublin, Florence, Las Vegas, London, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Paris, Seattle, San Francisco, San Jose, Tokyo and Venice. Software developers will also be offered tools to integrate this service into their applications. For example, various kinds of tourist guides will be able to mark sights and restaurants on a 3D map of the city, and real estate sellers will provide customers with the opportunity to explore the surroundings of the object in advance without wasting time visiting it.
