Paradoxically, the success of a Netflix series is not synonymous with its sustainability or even its longevity. This is for example the case of ”1889” which has not been renewed for a second season. Ditto for Inside Job, the Resident Evil series or even Ozard. Another of them fell in battle recently. It is the Lockwood & Co series which will not be the subject of a second season. It was his production house Complete Fiction who announced the news at the start of the weekend:
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Lockwood & Co will not be returning for a second series. The realization of this series was one of the most rewarding experiences of our career and we will keep an unforgettable memory.
In this press release, Complete Fiction adds that it was honored to work with short-story writer Johnatan Stroud: it is to him that we owe the Netflix series since it is the direct adaptation of his literary saga which began in 2013. collaboration which paid off as Stroud “will remain a friend and member of the Complete Fiction family for life”.
Lockwood & Co: an irrefutable success
