Google I/O 2023: Here Are 3 Announced Pixel Gadgets

, Bandung – Google I/O 2023 was finally held on May 10, 2023 and could not be separated from a series of announcements about what will come from the internet giant company. Starting from the line of Pixel gadgets, various changes in its services, especially Google Workspace; and most importantly, the development of AI is taking center stage.

There are three Pixel gadgets that have been announced at the Google event. These are the gadgets that have been announced at Google I/O 2023.

Pixel 7a

The first gadget is the Pixel 7a, a new smartphone from the Pixel 7 series. This smartphone has a 6.1-inch FHD+ display and a 90Hz refresh rate. Even more interesting, Tensor G2, the same processor in the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, also has 8GB of RAM.

Speaking of cameras, the Pixel 7a has a 13-megapixel front camera and a main camera sensor that is 72 percent larger than its predecessor. According to the press release, the 7a is the first phone in the A-series to have Long Exposure. This feature is said to have texture and energy when photographing something that moves.

Google Pixel 7a is now available in four colors, Charcoal, Snow, Sea and Coral. For those who want to get it, this smartphone is priced at US $ 499.

Pixel Tablet

Google also finally announced the Pixel Tablet at Google I/O 2023. Previously, Google briefly leaked it at last year’s I/O.

The Pixel Tablet has an 11-inch display with a resolution of 2560×1600 and is powered by the Tensor G2 with the Titan M2. There are three microphones that have been optimized for long distances, a fingerprint sensor on the power button, an audio system from four stereo speakers, 8 megapixel front and rear cameras, and up to 12 hours of battery life when streaming video.

Interestingly, the Pixel Tablet is equipped with a speaker dock. Not just any speaker dock, but a charging speaker dock that can charge Google’s tablet. While waiting for charging, users can use a digital photo frame and features from Google Home. Since it’s a speaker dock, it has four times the bass of just the Pixel Tablet for fuller, clearer sound.

The Pixel Tablet benefits from its features. These benefits include accurate voice typing, Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and split-screen multitask. Not only that, this tablet is the first tablet to have a built-in Chromecast, so users can cast music and videos from their cell phones via Hub Mode.

The Google Pixel Tablet is priced at US$499 and will be available starting June 20, 2023. Three colors are available for this tablet, namely Porcelain, Hazel and Rose.

Pixel Fold

Google had leaked that Pixel would get a foldable phone or a folding cellphone. Now, Google I/O is the right moment to announce it. Details about the Pixel Fold have finally been revealed as the first foldable phone from the tech giant.

The smartphone is a 7.6-inch tablet that can be folded into a 5.8-inch phone. Just like the Pixel 7a, the Pixel Fold is reinforced with the Tensor G2.

According to the press release, this folding cellphone has a 48 megapixel main camera sensor. Google calls this phone has all the advantages of a tablet. One of them is using tabletop mode to do things like take photos and watch videos.

Currently there is no release schedule for the foldable phone. Google only said that the Pixel Fold will be available from June. Those are the three gadgets announced at Google I/O 2023.
