It’s been just three days since the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games debuted in May, but it seems it’s already time to talk about the classics arriving over the next month. The “fault” lies with the PlayStation Store, which let slip what appears to be one of the titles arriving in June on the most expensive plan of the service.
According to what was reported by PS Deals, in the past few hours the PlayStation digital store would have welcomed in its price list Herc’s Adventures, a classic of the PlayStation era that would be released on June 20th, the very day that should host the launch of the new games for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. His appearance and the coincidence of the date would seem sufficient to give shape to a certainty, but we prefer to wait for Sony’s official announcement to be 100% sure.
For the uninitiated, Herc’s Adventures is a colorful top-down adventure game published by LucasArts in 1997 on PlayStation and SEGA Saturn in America and exclusively on PS1 in Europe. Set in Ancient Greece, it stars three distinct playable characters, Herc (Hercules), Atlanta (Atalanta) and Jason (Jason). The three are called to work together to save the goddess of nature, Persephone, from the clutches of the god of the underworld, the wicked Hades. Featuring lively humor, it also features a unique mechanic: with each death, the heroes are sent to the underworld, where they must make their way back up and continue the adventure. The more times you die, the more difficult it becomes to return to the surface, until the fifth death, which decrees the definitive Game Over.
This week, remember, the PlayStation Plus Premium catalog welcomed four classics: Siphon Filter Logan’s Shadow, Blade Dancer Lineage of Light and Pursuit Force for PSP, and Ghostbusters The Video Game Remastered for PS4 (remastered version of the adventure originally released on PlayStation 3).
