The Ministry of Digital Transformation announced a new service implemented in the Diya application. From now on, Ukrainians have the opportunity to apply for a replacement driver’s license in the Diya application and pick up the finished document at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. You can also completely abandon the plastic document and get a digital driver’s license, which is valid on the territory of Ukraine.
You can exchange or restore a driver’s license if:
An existing one has expired. The document is lost or destroyed. The inscriptions on the form have faded. The driver has changed his personal data. At the request of the owner.
To use the new service in the “Diya” application, you need to perform the following steps.
log in to the application, click “Services” select “Replacement of service” select the reason for the replacement select a service center where it is convenient to pick up the document confirm contact details and sign the application.
When ordering a service in the application, a medical certificate of fitness to drive vehicles is NOT attached.
After submitting the application, it is necessary to pay for the service within 10 minutes, otherwise the application will be canceled. After that, it remains only to wait for an invitation to the selected service center to pick up a new plastic ID. When ordering a digital document, you should wait until Diya sends a push notification about its readiness. In this case, you should sometimes check the status of the application.
To use the new service, you need to update the “Diya” application to the current version.
