German game developers receive financial assistance from the state, and the Ministry of Economics, in turn, is forced to report to the public on which projects and to whom it allocates money.
In particular, the German Deck13 (the first Lords of the Fallen, The Surge dilogy), which is currently developing the fantasy role-playing action game with the open world Atlas Fallen, has received an amount of €1.09 million from the German government for a new project.
The development is called Atlas Fallen: The Wielder of Gods and, judging by the name, is an addition to Atlas Fallen. The German Ministry of Economy indicates that production should be completed by February 2024.
As a result of the March postponement, Atlas Fallen is expected to release on August 10, 2023 on PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Plans for additional content in Deck13 have not yet been disclosed.
