A month after the launch of New World’s first season – “Camaraderie and Fire” – the developers at Amazon Games are announcing next season’s content. It goes by the name “Blood of the Sands” and finally lets us compete against the mighty monster of the brimstone sands. But in addition to the first raid boss in New World, you can expect some other exciting innovations. We have summarized them for you!

The season story continues: Together with the Silver Crows, you help the “Blood of the Sands” group to track down the eggs of the giant sandworm, the devourer.New Season Rewards: Once again, you’ll be able to earn cosmetic items and consumables by completing tasks as part of the Season Journey. Transmog feature finally in New World: If you want to choose your appearance and stats independently of each other, you can do so in the future in New World. Coming midway through Season 2, the new transmog feature relies on consumable transmog tokens to convert collected gear into usable skins for your cosmetic collection. Among other things, there are the brands for the season rewards, other sources are not yet known.First Raid of New World: The Elite Trial: Arena by Shah Neshen pits you against the massive sandworm, The Eater, in a 20-player party for max-level characters.

New season test: In The Hatchery, fight waves of enemies to earn Season Pass progress and special rewards. This challenge is intended for 10+ players and represents a weekly activity: 7 times per week the maximum amount of rewards can be earned.20-Player Open World Groups: If you want to better distribute loot or coordinate, you can do so in the future via large raid groups that are allowed to be active in the open world.Improvements to Outpost Rush including cross-server functionality: As part of Season 2, you will be able to charge into Outpost Rush… with any player from the same region. On top of that, the developers have tweaked the quality of the mode by reducing waiting times, making objectives more worthwhile and siege weapons doing more damage.

The First Light area disappears: As part of a special story – Artemis and her earth creatures have overrun the area – the developers are temporarily removing the area from the game. Dwelling items are packed into your storage, controlling companies receive compensation and the Faction Control Point (FCP) bonus is now moved to Weaver Bog. Its Final Cut Pro is set for the time being. The developers promise “We have big plans for this area. This is just the first step. Stay tuned and learn more about the future of Ancient First Light.”

New 3v3 Arenas: The PvP mode gets special locations that are supposed to be based on gladiator fights.New Heart Rune Ability: Get a special skill that lets you erupt the Eater Sandworm out of the ground to attack enemies.Seasonal Events: During Season 2, the Summer Medleyfair and Brimstone Siege will take place. The former is about the music again, while the latter is a new group activity for 10+ players defending sandworm eggs against sulfur elementals.
