Even before Ubisoft Forward in June, yesterday’s PlayStation Showcase finally featured the first gameplay from Assassin’s Creed: Mirage – and there’s even a concrete release date now.
Assassin’s Creed fans can look forward to the next adventure within the long-standing franchise this fall, because the official release date for the new Assassin’s Creed: Mirage has been set since yesterday evening. There have been a lot of rumors about the title, which is smaller than the last offshoots like Valhalla – and they were right: From October 12, 2023, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will be official for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC will be available.
The new part of the 15-year franchise is dedicated to the Middle East and transports you to 9th-century Baghdad. The previous supporting character Basim then rises to become the main actor. It also returns to the stealth gameplay elements that made the first installments of the series so popular before the gameplay became more and more action-oriented. So now the role backwards – and this is also evident from the first published gameplay.
In the said trailer, which you can watch below, there are also various elements that you can expect from the finished title. In addition to the stealth and parkour passages, there is also a feature called “Assassin’s Focus”, which allows you to mark different targets and turn them off one after the other.
