Sam Lake, creative director of Remedy Entertainment, confirms that the first gameplay of Alan Wake 2 will be broadcast at Summer Game Fest Opening Live Night (June 8).
We’re still terrified of the new trailer for Alan Wake 2, which was one of the great moments of the PlayStation Showcase on May 24 (here you can read a complete summary of the event). In addition, we already know when it will be released for sale.
More than ten years have passed since the first Alan Wake. Remedy Entertainment (Control) has partnered with Epic Games to create a real monsterwhich will leave the original masterpiece in its infancy.
Alan Wake 2 is a survival horror through and through, which also incorporates new survival and horror mechanics, along with an outstanding technical/artistic section.
Although the video shown in PlayStation Showcase had small bits of gameplay (as part of the cinematics), the first full gameplay will be revealed next month.
The official Summer Game Fest account has confirmed what we suspected: Alan Wake 2 will show its first gameplay on June 8during the opening ceremony of the summer event.
Terror and survival in Bright Falls
There is already a date for the first full gameplay (without cinematics) of Alan Wake 2. We recognize that what was shown in PlayStation Showcase has left us speechless, but we want to see Remedy’s game in action.

It has also been revealed that, at Summer Game Fest, there will be 3-4 big announcementsfrom games we don’t know about, as well as new details on confirmed titles, smaller games, and indies.
Alan Wake 2 will be one of them, which makes the interest in the event even greater. We can expect an extensive presentation for the survival horror from Remedy and Epic Games.
In relation to this sequel, Epic and Remedy confirmed that the game would not be released in physical format, in order to ensure a lower price. (49.99 euros on PC, 59.99 euros on PS5 and Xbox). But from THQ Nordic (who edited the original on PC) they insist on making a physical edition.
