Not only all sorts of new games were announced for the recent Playstation Showcase, but also a remake of the popular Metal Gear Solid 3. However, this was given a new name with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which has already been the subject of numerous rumours. Does Konami want to retell the story from Metal Gear 3 and just beef up the graphics, or could it be a whole new story?
MGS Delta: David Hayter returns as Solid Snake
What exactly the remake is all about is of course not known at this point in time, but the title definitely has extremely high expectations. After all, Hideo Kojima hasn’t been part of Konami for a long time, and although the company says it’s supposed to be a faithful remake, many fans of the series are still skeptical.
At least it is now certain that Konami will remain true to the original when it comes to voice actors. As the company explains on the official website, Metal Gear Solid 3 will use the original voice actors. This means that David Hayter will once again play Solid Snake after being replaced by Kiefer Sutherland for Metal Gear Solid 5.

However, Konami’s statement doesn’t say if the company will simply reuse the footage from the original game, or if they will rehire all of the voice actors to reprise their iconic roles.
