27-year-old Shakhtar central defender Marlon, who spends this season on loan in Italy at the location of Monza, may remain in his current team in the future, but on a full-time basis.
Monza, despite FIFA’s extension of permission for foreigners from Ukrainian clubs to unilaterally transfer to other teams, is ready to carry out a full buyout of Marlon’s contract from Shakhtar.
Now the Italian club is working to get consent for the transfer both from the player himself and from Shakhtar.
Marlon’s contract with the Pitmen runs until the summer of 2026. The Brazilian has made 26 appearances this season in Serie A.
Earlier it was reported that Monza was not going to buy out Marlon and he would have to return to Shakhtar.
