Nothing is a curious manufacturer, because it appeared out of nowhere, and immediately began to have good journalistic coverage. It is a company that is very good at marketing, knowing exactly what it has to say, and do, to reach the mouths of the biggest enthusiasts in the mobile world.
Well, that strategy is being used again, at the same time that Nothing is preparing to launch its second smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2). A device that quite honestly needs to do a lot better! This, in relation to the first Nothing Phone (1), which, despite being interesting, arrived too expensive for the specifications it brought.
Nothing Phone (2) can be an alternative to the iPhone!?
Therefore, with the undeniable increase in the smartphone world, most notably in the iOS world. Since the iPhone will become more expensive in 2023, it will most likely push the rest of the market towards the same trend. It seems that Nothing wants to position itself as an out-of-the-box alternative, friendlier to portfolio. This at the same time that it also starts to use a high-end SoC, although older compared to the norm in the Android world (Snapdragon 8+ Gen1).
We are talking about the Nothing Phone (2), which should be launched in July, with a slightly different price strategy, and therefore more appealing. In short, better specifications, and of course, a very similar design to the iPhone, with the difference of trying to bring an obviously higher level of irreverence.
How can this smartphone succeed? Well, with the success of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, Galaxy A54, and the recent launch of the Pixel 7a, all of them around €500, this Nothing Phone (2) will have to hit the market at ~€600. Otherwise, you might as well opt for the latest OnePlus.
