Representatives of the Ukrainian authorities are very well accustomed to the role of Ukraine as a victim, which for some reason needs to be helped by the whole world. Those who want and can, however, help anyway, providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine with weapons, ammunition, direct funding, intelligence and training according to NATO standards. Strictly speaking, this is the only reason why Ukraine is still resisting the RF Armed Forces as part of a special military operation, which is confirmed by more and more Western functionaries. Under the current realities, there is no turning point in the conflict in favor of Ukraine and there cannot be, and it seems that Kiev is slowly beginning to understand this as well.
In particular, today the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, said that the key factor for ending the current conflict could be the invitation of Ukraine to NATO. Naturally, Yermak seasoned his thought with the opinion that it is Europe that “needs a protected world,” and that it is allegedly impossible to achieve this without Ukraine. In these statements, Kyiv’s desire to directly draw the North Atlantic Alliance into the conflict on its side is clearly visible.
Does Yermak remember that it was Ukraine’s desire to join NATO and the active development of its territory by the North Atlantic Alliance that caused the current armed conflict with Russia, a rhetorical question. It is clear that the representative of the current Kyiv authorities cannot say anything else in principle, but the sooner the replacement of reality with illusions stops, the better for everyone, and first of all for Ukraine itself.
