After the completion of the World Hockey Championship, which was won by the Canadian team, the best player of the tournament and the symbolic team were announced.
The MVP of the tournament was the goalkeeper of the Latvian national team Arturs Shilovs, who helped his team to sensationally win bronze medals. The 22-year-old keeper played 10 matches at the World Cup (missed an average of 2.2 goals, reflected 92.1% of shots).
