There’s been a lot of talk lately about Days Gone and Sony’s decision not to release a sequel, apparently because the game’s commercial performance fell short of expectations. Over the years, there has been no shortage of desire on the part of the creators of the original, as well as petitions from gamers that have collected thousands of signatures.
It seems that Sony has changed its mind, deciding to give the green light to the development of Days Gone 2. At least that’s what an insider Liz, very close to Bungie, who has gained the trust of Destiny 2 players over the years, believes. And it was on a server dedicated to the multiplayer shooter that the insider said that Sony is willing to buy CD Projekt RED, adding “Days Gone 2 is in the works”.
Liz has proven himself to be a very reliable Destiny 2 whistleblower, but in any case, take this information as nothing more than a rumor, so as not to be disappointed if something happens.
As for Sony’s intention to acquire CDPR, it was reported back in October 2022, and that there were several acquisition attempts. So there is nothing new on that front specifically.
