New danger for o2 customers: As “PC-Welt” has discovered, SMS messages are currently circulating in which the user is informed that he has allegedly ordered an E-SIM. The messages also contain a link through which the user can cancel the alleged order.
However, this is not an official notification from o2, but an attempt at fraud. The link provided does not lead to the provider’s official website, but to a replica fake. If the data of the o2 account is entered here, it will end up directly in the hands of the criminals. The installation of malware via the links cannot be ruled out either.
