As we have already reported, the Women’s Golden Euroleague Volleyball Tournament started the day before. The national team of Ukraine in the first match in Budapest defeated the team of Hungary with a score of 3:1. And today the rivals met there again.
This time, Ukrainians were considered the nominal owners of the site. They confidently started the match, winning the first set 25:17. However, in the second game, a real struggle had already begun, and in the end, the Hungarian volleyball players played better 22:25.
In many ways, the third set was decisive here. The Ukrainian team immediately went ahead 9:5. And although the nominal guests managed to reduce the backlog for some time 12:10, Ivan Petkov’s wards soon again went into the lead 17:11. Now it only remained to bring the game to victory, which our team did without any problems – 25:15.
And in the fourth installment, the Ukrainians showed a real fighting spirit. Losing in the course of the entire set, they did not give up. Even when the opponents had two set points with a score of 22:24, our volleyball players continued to look for a way to victory and found it, winning four points in a row – 26:24. The winning point in this game was put by Anastasia Kraiduba.
The composition of the Ukrainian national team in this match looked like this: Alexandra Milenko, Anastasia Mayevskaya, Anastasia Kraiduba, Yulia Dymar, Svetlana Dorsman, Daria Shargorodskaya, Kristina Nemtseva (libero). The replacements were Evgeniya Khober, Victoria Danchak.
