The Russian representative office of the Chinese car brand Changan presented the second generation Eado sedan. At home, this car started back in 2018, and already in 2019 it received the Plus prefix. After that, it was modernized several times in China, and the most recent update happened last year.
In the Russian Federation, as well as in other foreign countries, Changan will supply cars after the main restyling almost four years ago. Copies with a “sporty” design will be imported into the country. In this case, the grate is made with a special mesh.
The wheelbase of Changan Eado Plus is 2700 mm, there is a complete match with the Kia Cerato. In terms of other dimensions, the Chinese version surpasses its Korean counterpart: length 4730 mm, width 1820 mm, height 1505 mm (for Cerato it is all 4640/1800/1450 m). The boot volume of the Plus version is 500 liters, while the Cerato has 2 liters more.
The Russian version will be equipped exclusively with a 1.4-liter petrol “turbo-four”, which produces 155 hp. and 225 Nm. Of the positive nuances, it is worth noting the possibility of using AI-92 gasoline. The engine itself is paired with a seven-speed robotic box with two “wet” clutches. For reference: a car with a 160 hp turbo engine is presented in China. with 260 Nm of torque. For lovers of the classics, a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine with 161 Nm of torque is available in China. This option is equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox or CVT.
Buyers from Russia presented Changan Eado Plus will be available in two trim levels – LX and DLX. The first option is equipped with LED optics, 16-inch wheels, steering wheel adjustment for reach and height, a light sensor, a sunroof, front and side airbags, climate control, a multimedia system with a 10-inch touchscreen, a rear view camera, cruise control control, keyless entry system and engine start button. Also, the LX-equipment can offer a contactless trunk opening system, when using which it is enough to approach the car from behind with the key in your pocket.
