Team17 and Absolutely Game have announced the turn-based tactics game Classified: France ’44 for consoles and PC. The launch will take place this year. A first trailer is already available today.
The turn-based tactics game “Classified France ’44” was announced today by Team17 and Absolutely Game. It offers a World War II setting and is due out this year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
In “Classified France ’44” you have to take command of a special operations team made up of allied commandos and French resistance fighters. Players recruit elite agents to bolster their squad and lead them in a campaign of sabotage and destruction.
Strategists will also have to deal with competing factions to build the resistance network and attack German targets deep in the occupied territories. But the more chaos they cause, the more the players draw the attention of the Gestapo secret police.
“Through exciting missions inspired by Allied and French exploits, the game expands on turn-based tactical concepts and brings authentic World War II combat to life.” “The campaign allows for multiple iterations that are different each time.”
More than 45 missions and mission creator tool
Classified France ’44 features over 45 missions and players will build their team from a characterful mix of heroes, each with their own unique background. The heroes can be trained, customized and equipped.
According to the manufacturer, in “Classified: France ’44” players will encounter a unique morale system in which every shot fired affects their own characters and the enemies on the battlefield. In addition, players can boost morale by spending time with the fighters around the campfire and learning about their lives.
And future Classified France ’44 owners who want to get creative can use the Mission Creator tool to create, share and download their own missions.
