While Oppo is about to leave France and Google did not want to venture into this format, Samsung remains very much alone in the market for foldable clamshell smartphones. It remains Motorola, but its folding models have always been inferior, both from a technical point of view and from that of the user experience. That could change this year with the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra.

What we notice directly is obviously this large 3.6-inch OLED external screen (413 dpi resolution), with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. There is a home screen with notifications, apps, etc For the manufacturer, this makes it possible to “easily reply to a message, take a selfie or stay informed of notifications”, but also play games, or navigate Google Maps.

We find in the Razr 40 Ultra the equivalent of the “Flex” mode of the Galaxy Z Flip, in order to be able to use it half-folded, regardless of the angle (or almost). Enough to use it as a tripod to take photos or make a video call.
