Motorola 30 From
year-on-year growth
Motorola revealed some numbers related to its participation in the smartphone area. According to her, the brand has 21% market share in Latin America. In addition, it is ranked third in North America.
Among premium cell phones, something the company has been paying attention to since the launch of the Edge line, there was an increase of 30% year on year. In the corporate sector – the so-called B2B –, growth was 60% year on year, which shows an increase in new segments.
In comparison with the TOP 5 of global sellers, Motorola presented twice the volume of commercialization in the premium segment annually. In addition, it has grown faster than the main competitors in the market, in the last two quarters in Latin American territory.
When specifically evaluating the last six years, the company also highlighted that market share has practically doubled in Latin America – which demonstrates the importance of the region for the brand belonging to Lenovo.
Motorola Edge family and 5G
Motorola still recorded positive numbers in relation to the devices. In fiscal 2022/23, activations of Motorola Edge devices grew four times year-over-year.
The rise of the brand’s most advanced family of cell phones follows the path also seen in the activations of 5G devices in general, which presented a number three times higher than in the past record.
For the next three years, Motorola’s plans also include doubling the sales volume of its models.
Sustainability
For the new Razr 40 series smartphones, Motorola promises greater emphasis on the sustainable area of its products. Some numbers show the company’s concern regarding the issue, such as the presence of 60% of recyclable materials and 50% less in the use of plastic.
There are also initiatives designed for the medium and long term. The company intends to use less plastic in the packaging of its products between 2025 and 2026.
