Crytek is proud to announce that Hunt: Showdown will feature a new boss as part of the Shadow Tide summer event. This new wild target, the Rotjaw, prowls the deep expanses of water, chasing any intruders that might stumble upon it.
And if the hunters manage to stumble upon her, then she will rush into the water, biting and knocking down anyone who dares to approach her. Trapped in a cage and bursting out when she gets too strong, Rotjaw will unleash her wrath on anyone who tries to stop her.
Judging by the Rotjaw trailer, she’s not a bayou dweller – though she certainly fits into the game’s atmosphere. Rather, she was brought there by someone from a place called the “Land of the Dead.” He did not come there for her at all, but it is obvious that it was thanks to her that he managed to return what he wanted to find.
Whatever its origin, one thing remains true. She is deadly. Players need to be vigilant while in her domain. No word yet on when Rotjaw will appear in the shooter.
