Developers from Google have improved the search system in the Gmail mobile application, making it easier for users of the service to find the messages they need. Now, to analyze search queries inside the mailbox, a special algorithm based on a neural network will be used, which allows you to produce relevant results as quickly as possible.

The AI algorithm analyzes the search query, the emails stored in the inbox, and “other relevant factors” to determine which emails are most relevant to the query. This feature will be rolled out gradually and will be rolled out to all Gmail users on Android and iOS devices over the coming weeks.
Improving search in Gmail with the help of an AI algorithm was not the first innovation that appeared in the Google mail service in recent times. In February of this year, the rollout of the new Gmail interface was completed, which is more modern and focused on other company tools to improve productivity. Last month, Google also announced that accounts that have been inactive for two years will be deleted along with all content, including mailbox data.
