This week, Microsoft released preview build 23471 of Windows 11 to Windows Insiders on the Dev channel. In addition to numerous fixes for known issues, this build contains several interesting innovations. The most notable of these was the emergence of the ability to view photos from a smartphone in Windows 11 Explorer.

You can access photos from your smartphone in the File Explorer section called Gallery. A new Add Phone Photos button has appeared at the top of the toolbar, after clicking on which a QR code will be generated. It must be scanned using a smartphone, after which the photos stored on the mobile device will become available on the user’s computer. When this innovation may become available in stable versions of Windows 11 is still unknown.
In addition, in the new build of Windows 11, the natural voice feature in Narrator is now supported in Spanish. The developers have also updated the Network pop-up on the lock screen to bring it in line with the overall design of the software platform. Even in the “Explorer” it became possible to select a tab in a separate window or move it to another open window. The File Explorer section called Gallery, which was introduced in Windows 11 Build 23435, is now available to everyone in the Insider Program on the Dev channel. An option has been added to the Settings menu to switch to using mobile Internet in case of loss of Wi-Fi connection or signal deterioration.
