Coin Crew Games has confirmed that not only is the puzzle game Escape Academy coming to Nintendo Switch in fall 2023, but it will also receive a second DLC.
The second DLC for Escape Academy is called Escape from the Past and is a continuation of the first Take to the Skies expansion. This new content will appear on June 19th. Escape from the Past will include five brand new levels to unravel, which the developer says will offer “a fresh take on the beloved Escape Room format.”
Travel back in time in Escape Academy’s second expansion where you team up with old friends and Academy students Sandra Solange and El Barnes to unmask a villain who wants to kill his headmaster. After an “accident” at an Academy sporting event, Sandra and Eel are tasked with investigating each of the suspected teachers to determine who the killer is and save the school.
Coin Crew Games (in partnership with iam8bit and Skybound Games) also confirmed that the game has been played by over a million players across all platforms since its release last year, and it recently won a Webby Award for “Best Family, Kids and Educational Game” as well as in the category “Puzzles, strategies and quizzes”.
