Swedish striker AC Milan Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced his retirement from football.
After the match of the 38th round of the Italian championship against Verona (3:1), the 41-year-old Swede said:
“I experienced many pleasant moments at this San Siro stadium. I thank the family, the players, the coaching staff and all the fans. It’s time to say goodbye. It’s time to say goodbye to football.”
Milan fans gave him a round of applause and Zlatan couldn’t hold back his tears.
During his football career, Ibrahimovic played for clubs: Malmö, Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, AC Milan, PSG, Manchester United and Los Angeles Galaxy.
Zlatan has collected a large number of trophies: he won the Italian championship 5 times (two times with Milan and three times with Inter), he won the French championship 4 times (with PSG), he became the champion of the Netherlands twice (Ajax) and once – the champion Spain (Barcelona). In addition, Ibra won the Europa League, many cups and super cups of various countries.
